	Diamond Frost and It's Companion Plants, continued
	Part Shade, continued Ivy Geraniums The lesser known of the geraniums, ivy geraniums give the punch of color that classic zonal geranium provide, but can take more shade and features a trailing form. Ivy geraniums come in bold colors which pair well with the white of diamond frost. Although ivy geraniums provide more color than most part shade plants, the trailing habit often leads to a bare center which can be neatly camouflaged with the wispy, mounding diamond frost.
	Full Sun Lantana Lantana is another proven performer in the garden. With prolific flowering, it’s drought tolerance and variety of colors have made it a favorite of many gardeners. Diamond frost makes a great companion plant due to it’s similar water requirements and ability to tolerate hot afternoon sun. The rough texture and large flower head of the lantana adds great contrast.
	Petunia This old fashioned favorite provides color like no other flower. However, those of us who have grown petunias often struggle with a leggy plant in the late summer. A combination with the mounding Diamond Frost fills that unsightly space and highlights the bright beautiful flowers.
	Cuphea ‘Totally Tempted’ Cuphea ‘Totally Tempted’ is a new garden favorite from Proven Winners. This up-and-comer boasts mounding to trailing stems covered in bold red ruffled flowers with deep purple throats. It performs much like Diamond Frost and makes a great companion plant in those hot sunny spaces. Planted together, the bold Cuphea intermingles with the delicate Diamond Frost to make a stunning combination.
	Angelonia Often referred to as the “summer snapdragon”, this upright beauty has large purple or white flowers, which clump above the linear foliage. Another drought tolerant performer, Angelonia adds height to full sun combinations and looks great above a halo of Diamond Frost. Combining white Angelonia and Diamond Frost makes a hot white summer pair.
	Plumbago Plumbago makes a statement in any garden, with it’s wide-reaching stalks full of softball-sized clusters of true blue or white flowers. Wispy Diamond Frost provides a great match for the larger flowers, while it’s mounding form hides the woody base that often develops as Plumbago ages.
