Fingerprint Flower Vase

This cute little keepsake vase is a great indoor project for cool winter days. It makes a great flower vase for mom, grandma or anyone special in your child’s life! The best part? It requires very few items, some of which you probably already have around the house. Let’s get started...

Materials Needed
- Empty Mason Jar
- Enamel Paint
- Newspaper
- Aprons

Putting It All Together
There really are only a couple of steps to this project... it is a breeze! First, lay your newspaper on your work surface to help later with clean up. Make sure your little ones are wearing aprons or old clothes so they don’t ruin anything too nice! Next, hold the jar by the mouth to avoid messing up the soon-to-be masterpiece! Finally, it’s time for the little ones to go to town! Have them dip their fingertips into the paint and gently dot the mason jar to form the petals of the flower. Next, have them wash their hands so they can move to the next paint color for the center of the flower. Colors can be anything you choose... have fun! Let the paint dry and cure per the instructions on the enamel paint tube/bottle. Some paints require baking in the oven or an extended air dry time. Note: Acrylic paints can be used, however they may peel off of the glass jar so enamel paints work best.
