5. Bromeliad
These exotic and colorful tropical plants are a great choice for smaller spaces. There are many varieties and colors to choose from, and the best part... they are easy-to-grow! The colorful spikes last for several months. Inconspicuous white flowers will appear. After flowering, the spike needs to be cut back so new plants can emerge.

Care Instructions: Medium to high light. Keep soil moist but do not let set in water. The cup of the plant (lower part of spike) should be supplied with water at all times. Room temperature water is best.

4. Neon Pothos
A great starter plant for newbies or for those with not-so-green thumbs. Heart-shaped chartreuse leaves with a trailing growth habit adorn this lovely plant. Great as a hanging basket by itself or in mixed arrangements with other plants. This lovely plant, that thrives on neglect, will liven any room!

Care Instructions: Medium to bright light (indirect light). Let dry slightly between waterings.

Every home or office should have at least one of these gems! Long white flowers appear above dark glossy green leaves. Not only is this a lovely plant, but it is functional as well as it helps to purify indoor air. Often seen in shopping malls and doctor offices.

Care Instructions: Low to medium light. Keep moist without having wet feet. Mist every other week. Fertilize three times a year with Osmocote.

1. ZZ Plant
You can’t find an easier plant to take care of! This exotic tropical plant can take extremely low light. Even more, it only wants to be watered every three weeks, if that! Equipped with waxy, shiny, dark green insect resistant leaves, this plant thrives on neglect!

Care Instructions: Water every three weeks. Do not let plant set in water. Low light. Fertilize three times a year with Osmocote.

Good Luck!
